My Approach
As an integrative counsellor, I work with a number of different theoretical models. This means that I can be flexible and adaptable to your needs. Ultimately, I believe that well-being comes from an internal balance of mind, body and spirit. I believe that counselling can help to bring these parts of yourself into a more harmonious balance. My main ways of working include:
Person centred counselling - this is at the heart of my practice and ultimately means that I believe that you are the expert on yourself; that every person is is different, with individual experiences and needs. And so, I aim to work in a way that follows you along your journey, where I can support you in a non-judgmental and compassionate way.

Eco-Therapy - The planet is in a troubling time, environmentally. I believe that individual and planetary healing are symbiotic with one another, and as a result, by re-establishing ways of working in nature, we can reconnect with ourselves and help the healing process. This work can take place both outdoors or within talking therapy and can be explored in sessions.

Spiritual counselling - trans personal, holistic and understanding that sometimes we need to look outwards to help to understand and heal what is going on in our inner selves. I might choose to bring other aspects into counselling that might help access unconscious parts of self including guided visualisation or exploring sub-personalities.
Mindfulness - understanding and becoming aware of the present moment and what our emotional state is. Using and finding tools be become aware of what is going on in and around us to be able to centre and align ourselves with the present.

Ways of Working
Nature Based - I believe that for many people, being able to connect with nature might also be able to help on the healing journey. As a way of supporting this, I offer 'walking therapy' outdoors. I offer outdoor sessions in a 10 mile radius of Glastonbury, Somerset.

Online/Telephone - I offer video sessions over zoom and telephone sessions. I have undergone additional training in light of the recent pandemic, in order to safely accommodate sessions in this way. I feel that being able to offer this flexibility is important and will continue to offer therapy sessions in this way moving forward.
